CapWay was started with the purpose of creating a new experience and way of thinking when it comes to money for those that have been kept on the outside of today’s financial system. The financially underserved are often victims of ridiculous fees to cash their checks or send money, high-interest rates on quick loans, redlining by banks and numerous other issues. At CapWay, we work to understand and solve those problems and more. Even more, we work to understand and serve the people with the problem.
We define the financially underserved as those that are unbanked, underbanked, and part of the working poor.
* Unbanked – someone without a bank account
* Underbanked – those who may have a bank account, but still use alternative financial options due to poor access to mainstream financial services
* Working Poor – someone with a job but his or her income falls below the poverty level; usually living paycheck-to-paycheck
We let you know the who, what, and why.
