Life after college can be a tough yet rewarding process. Soon after graduating, there were two things most graduates focus on. The first is finding a place to live, and the second is finding a job that they are passionate about.
Finding a job can be tough. Once you graduate, you figure, "Hey, I have a degree! Who wouldn't want to hire me?" You may have a degree, but you have to put a bit more elbow grease in your job search. While everyone's tactic may be different, here are four tips on your approach to finding your first real job as a college graduate.
Once you've started your official "adulting" tasks, you will soon see the fruits of your labor.
Don’t Sell Yourself Short
Now that you have graduated, you have finally entered adulthood. Therefore, you have to think beyond just paying the bills. You need to apply for a job that genuinely interests you and makes you feel like you can learn and grow. In between the hunt for your dream job or career, if you do find yourself having to work at a job that only pays the bills, that's okay if it is only temporary.
Find time outside of work to think creatively about projects that keep you energized and passionate. Your health and happiness should always be a priority in your life, no matter the job.

Know the Online Tools
There are many sites that make it easier to find jobs, such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and through a company's career site. Be sure to check out local and national job boards that are specific to your field as well.
Tap Into Your Network
One of the greatest benefits of attending college is the network. Think back to all of the different groups you may have encountered or joined. Those groups could range from student organizations to Greek life or even those you meet through an internship. Tap back into that network because it is a great way to have someone provide a warm intro on your behalf.
The one important factor here is that sometimes we don't understand just how important those relationships are while we are in college and living our best life, but those former colleagues can be of help as you move forward in your career.
